Spectre Recording is built for musicians, with a comfortable, vintage vibe to make our clients feel relaxed and ready to create. We offer everything from pure analog recording, by means of an Ampex MM1200 2" deck (from the Hit Factory in NYC), to a hybrid Nuendo PC rig, with hundreds of plug-ins and virtual instruments from Waves, Lexicon, Native Instruments and EastWest. Enjoy editing with plenty of desktop space on our single 40" and dual 19" LCD screens. Check out the preamps on our Quad Eight 20-channel console (from the Village Recorder in Santa Monica), that recorded and mixed Steely Dan's Countdown to Ecstasy and Kiss's ALIVE. Whether you are here to track drums and take your project home, or to settle in and build your masterpiece, Spectre Recording welcomes you. (oh yeah, Pro Tools available upon request) Zach Varnell
Spectre finds itself at the mercy of its people; its schools of fish that call it home. We offer the world class best of both worlds, analog and digital, and know that integration is what will get us to the top at the end of the day. We don't claim world domination, we don't even claim extortion. Instead, we stand poised to hold the world captive, even if for just a few moments. Number 1 and Number 2 were the research. Number 3 was the foundation. Number 4 had us biting at the heels of greatness, and now Spectre 5.0 Beta is sleek, efficient and packs enough punch within its walls to make it through the battle.
